I'm Mercedes, a fully integrated creative, big ideas thinker, storyteller, conceptual copywriter, and doer based in London with eighteen years of experience in creative agencies. I've had the fortune of living and working in vibrant cities like Madrid, Mexico City, Miami, Barcelona or Santiago de Chile. I've also worked remotely for other exotic markets like the UAE, Saudi Arabia, US, or Germany.
I have been a team player (always), a solo creative, a creative director, a senior freelancer. I’ve managed teams, and over all, I learned how to function under challenging circumstances in the most varied cultures and countries. I like to think that this experience made me a versatile and open minded creative who finds inspiration ineverything and everywhere. And that this also taught me to be a bit more patient, collaborative and humble person.
I thrive with a tight deadline, partnering with clients, guiding and collaborating with other creatives, and I’m used to dealing with multiple stakeholders.
I first learned this working for Coca-Cola in different markets and then I’ve done it many times throughout my career.
I love conceptualising, diving into every project and getting hands-on. I am not scared of pitching an idea, fleshing out a campaign, directing a shooting, editing video moods, or even writing a CRM email, a consumer journey, or a TV script, long or short format, that’s my specialty.
I've also been fortunate to produce tons of work: making the most of generous and tiny budgets, animated stories, 3D post-production, Oscar-winning directors, or new talents.
